Forty years following our separation at Blanchet during Sophomore year, we found each other again. Following many, many years of adventures and a divorce for each of us, we became a couple once more. We had a wonderful time together for several years prior to his death, including attendance at our 40-year Blanchet reunion.
Tim and I purchased a time-share together in Mazatlan, our favorite vacation location. We also traveled to Ocean Shores repeatedly, staying in the 3-bedroom home of a friend of his, along with his dog Coach.
Tim spent much time during his final years counseling friends and strangers through his advocacy in Alcoholics Anonymous. Not only had he become a non-drinker, he had reduced his cigarette consumption to just one cigarette a day. He hoped to eliminate it altogether before we moved in together.
Unfortunately, we discovered Tim had stomach cancer while on vacation in Mazatlan. Having beat cancer in the past, he was convinced he would once again be successful. Unfortunately, he passed a few months later, leaving behind his beloved daughter Alyce, several sisters, his mother, and me.
